AKIM operates support groups for parents, evenings about children and adults with intellectual
developmental disabilities right , summer camps, classes, workshops, parties, family fun days,
AKIM is in cooperation with dozens of youth in all branch activities, services in the field of
housing in the community within residential neighborhoods, national recreation, recruitment to
the IDF, helpline in Hebrew and Arabic, leisure (clubs), employment in different ways of placing
people with disabilities in jobs in the free market (in cooperation with the National Insurance

The AKIM Modiin branch accompanies over 80 families of children and adults with intellectual
developmental disabilities at various levels, and provides solutions for this population, from
daily accompaniment, legal representation, summer camps, afternoon classes, employment
solutions in the free market, emotional and financial support for parents and families, guidance,
sports activities, relief care, guardianship services, advocacy, housing, education and more.
Our goal is to ensure the quality of life of children and adults with intellectual developmental
disabilities in Modiin Maccabim Reut and the surrounding area, and to ensure a better and
safer future, with the aim of providing services within the city.
